Teapot – the stylish, modern way to enjoy tea with a tea pot

Teapot: Stylish enjoyment for true tea lovers

Love of the teapot: the little happiness of enjoying tea

The teapot originated in China, where tea drinking has traditionally had a special social significance. Many models therefore have Asian designs, but the variety of design possibilities of a teapot is almost limitless. A teapot is not only a decorative object for the eye, but also very practical. The preparation and serving takes place in the teapot, sometimes the teapot is also used to keep warm and for transport. If you are looking for a new teapot, you should refrain from cheap plastic pots. These are not sustainable, may release harmful substances such as the plasticizer BPA into the tea and in some specimens there may be unnoticed and very dangerous cracking of the inner wall.

The high-quality teapot: modern, chic, sustainable, good

Some modern teapots, on the other hand, are a real innovation: a well thought-out selection of materials is combined with sensible functions and a high degree of attractiveness. Many plastic-free models are made of glass, for example. Such a teapot always gives you an overview of the remaining tea quantity and at the same time represents an elegant piece of crockery that really makes an impression. Small glass jugs for transport – better known as tea cups or tea bottles – are often fitted with high-quality and completely closing bamboo or stainless steel lids that are biodegradable or recyclable. The combination with an integrated infuser is also useful. Like any other reusable tea filter, you can fill it with your favourite tea in loose form. This saves you unnecessary rubbish by using tea bags when using your teapot.

Preferred materials of the ecological teapot: stainless steel, glass and bamboo

You may wonder why you should use these materials for a teapot instead of ceramics and porcelain. Well, for use at home, you should let your taste alone decide. The materials are also unproblematic in relation to our environment and your health, but they are also extremely brittle and therefore hardly suitable for transport. The glass bottles also need some caution in everyday life, because they can also break, yet you can easily recognize smaller breaks and cracks. If possible, transport the teapot in a suitable protective cover made of cork or silicone. The great advantages of glass are its transparency, its freedom from harmful substances and its absolute neutrality in taste. By the way, a teapot made of glass or stainless steel is very reliable and keeps you hot for a long time. Double-walled designs make it possible.
